The first point they make is that some places aren't exactly secure or safe for someone who fits outside the social norm. The study examines the sexuality and gender identity of these migrants leaving their home country to find a more welcoming and suitable home. The article then mentions something called the toxic triangle, which is a hostile environment, structures and cultures that hold away freedom to sexuality.
