Some mothers choose to breast feed, and some mothers choose to use formula , but is there actually any difference ? However with that question, another question comes to light , why do over 200 million children suffer from malnutrition despite the abundance of human milk ? The starvation rate is high at 40% of children in Africa being exclusively breast fed . One of the issues found during this study was the use of prelacteal feeding , which is where they give the baby other foods, such as water, formula, and even honey before breastfeeding to give the mother a break after childbirth .
